The 2025 UK 'Last of the Rose Gold' Full Sovereign, manufactured by The Royal Mint, marks the final year this iconic coin will be crafted in the distinctive rose gold finish. In the past, gold Sovereigns contained a higher proportion of silver, which gave them a more golden hue. However, since 2000, The Royal Mint has used more copper in the alloy, creating the pinkish or rose gold appearance seen in modern coins. The 2025 edition will be the final year The Royal Mint produces this iconic coin in its distinctive rose gold finish, marking the end of an era. To mark this significant change we have encapsulated the prestigious Sovereign in a sumptuous cover which carries the four regional definitives and the high value £10 Britannia to reflect the importance of this last date Sovereign. The stamps are cancelled with a Cardiff handstamp for the Royal Mint location. The cover is issued in a limited edition of just 25.
