Compiled by Commander C. Serocold, R.N.V.R., O.B.E during the Great War 1914-18. He was one of two personal assistants to Admiral Sir Reginald Hall, Director of Naval Intelligence. Included are two messages sent on the 11th November 1918 to the Admiralty, one form Marshall Foch notifying them "Hostilities will be stopped on the whole front as from 11 o'clock french time 11th November" and the other from Erzberger relating again to the Armistice. Both were circulated to just 11 people within the Admiralty making them extremely scarce. Also included are letters, passes, ticket and order of service for the funeral of Field Marshal Earl Roberts VC, magazines including "The Dump Vol 1 Xmas 1915". A couple of pieces have been taken out but the collection still gives a fascinating glimpse into this troubled time. A unique collection that could never be repeated.
