A superb signed typed letter from The Chief Scout on one side of a sheet of The Boy Scouts Association headed stationery dated December 9, 1929. Baden-Powell sends his congratulations to the Boy Scouts of Blaenavon District upon the opening of a new hall for their headquarters. He adds 'My wish and belief for the new Headquarters, which has been the outcome of so much hard work and self-sacrifice, is that it may be a centre from which the spirit of scouting will go forth, far and wide, and spread itself amongst those who are at present outside the influence of the Movement'. The letter closes 'Good Camping to all' and is completed with a clear signature as 'Baden-Powell. Sold together with the original envelope and a letter from Baden-Powell's private secretary.
