A fine Bradbury sheet from the History of Britain series marks the 75th anniversary of the start of World War II on 3rd September 1939. The ten stamp labels show reproductions of GPO stamps issued in 1965 marking the death of Winston Churchill and the 25th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The sheet margins feature the superb artwork of military artist Malcolm Greensmith including Field Marshal Montgomery, wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill, US General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of Allied Expeditionary Forces together with scenes from the battle and home fronts. Collectability much enhanced by the comparatively low edition limit of just 500.
